Information under the Battery Act

In connection with the sale of batteries or rechargeable batteries, or products that contain batteries or rechargeable batteries as included accessories or permanently installed, we as a retailer are obligated under the Battery Act (BattG) to inform our customers of the following:

As end users, you are legally obligated to return used batteries. You can return used batteries that we carry or have carried as new batteries free of charge to a municipal collection point, to a local retailer, or to us (OutTac Gear GmbH, Industriestraße 10, 16547 Birkenwerder).

The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:

Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by mass.
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by mass.
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass.

Electrical and electronic devices must not be disposed of with household waste. You can dispose of your old electrical devices free of charge at one of the municipal collection points.

Our suppliers have fulfilled their reporting obligations to the Federal Environment Agency.
